08/24/2017: Assailants abducted an unknown number of civilians in an area between Qaim district and Rutbah district, Al Anbar, Iraq. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the abduction to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and stated that the victims were attempting to leave the area at the time of the attack.
