Incident Summary:

09/06/2017: Assailants abducted Jelster Ed Tiu Quimbo in Labason, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. Quimbo, the son of the local mayor, was released on December 30, 2018. At least four people were arrested in connection with the kidnapping. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
