09/08/2017: Assailants attacked Ancha village in Miango, Plateau, Nigeria. This was one of two related attacks that occurred in this area on the same day. At least 19 people were killed and five other were injured across the two attacks No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani extremists.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
