Incident Summary:
09/17/2017: An explosive device detonated near the vehicle of Fawad Ali in Tangai, Bajaur district, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan. At least five people, including Ali, a senior tribal government administrator, and four Levies Forces officers, were killed and an unknown number of other people were injured in the blast. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
