Incident Summary:

09/21/2017: Assailants set fire to a Pentecostal church in Pidima, Malleco, Araucania, Chile. No casualties were reported in the attack. This was one of four related arson attacks on churches in Araucania over a 24 hour period. Mapuche activists claimed responsibility for the incident in pamphlets left at the scene which referenced four incarcerated Mapuche activists carrying out a hunger strike.
