10/10/2017: An explosive device detonated near the vehicle of Shaykh Yasin al-'Adani detonated in Aden, Adan, Yemen. Al-'Adani, the Zayd Mosque preacher, was killed and his son was injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Islah Party.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
