10/10/2017: A suicide bomber driving an explosives-laden vehicle attempted to attack an Egyptian Army checkpoint in front of a cement factory in Hasna, North Sinai, Egypt. A soldier opened fire on the vehicle, causing it to detonate and kill two people, including the soldier and the assailant. The Sinai Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident.
