10/23/2017: Assailants attacked joint security forces in Qaysoumai, near Abbassi, Kirkuk, Iraq. This was one of two related attacks targeting joint security forces in Abbassi on this date. Two soldiers were killed and two volunteer fighters were injured across both attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
