10/24/2017: An explosive device detonated as explosives experts attempted to sweep the area in Raqqah, Syria. Chris Harris, a British explosives expert, was killed in the blast. Two additional explosive devices were defused at the scene. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
