Incident Summary:

11/11/2017: An explosive device detonated targeting Barsha Man Pun's campaign vehicle in Bhittabang, Province 5, Nepal. Pun, a Unified Communist Party of Nepal: Maoist (UCPN-M) parliamentary candidate and the former Finance Minister, was not harmed; however, two vehicles were damaged in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities suspected that the attack was carried out by the Communist Party of Nepal - Maoist (CPN-Maoist-Chand), which denied involvement.
