11/12/2017: Assailants abducted Jonisol M Sangma, a village head, in Rongding Awe, Meghalaya, India. Sangma was released on November 29, 2017. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Garo National Liberation Army.
