11/13/2017: Assailants abducted two police officers, identified as Alfredo Dagamon and John Paul Doverte, in Bad-as, Placer, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. The hostages were released on December 20, 2017. The New People's Army claimed responsibility for the incident and accused the victims of mistreating civilians during police operations in the region.
