12/01/2017: Assailants attacked security checkpoints in Giro district, Ghazni, Afghanistan. At least 20 people, including two police officers and 18 assailants, were killed and 38 others, including 11 police officers and 27 assailants, were injured in the ensuing clash. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
