12/04/2017: Assailants abducted Mahendra Rai from Jaintia Hills district, Meghalaya, India. Rai, a coal quarry manager, was rescued by security forces on December 15, 2017. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB).
