12/08/2017: Assailants abducted five Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. employees laying fiber optic cables in Dianke, Niafunke district, Timbuktu, Mali. All five hostages were killed and their bodies were discovered near Dianke the following day, on February 9, 2017. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
