12/11/2017: Snipers besieged Mubarak al-Farhan, along the border of Saladin and Diyala, Saladin, Iraq. Although it is unknown if there were any casualties, civilians were prevented from leaving the area during the siege which lasted until December 19, 2017. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
