12/16/2017: An assailant stabbed and injured two Danish National Geographic journalists in Libreville, Estuaire, Gabon. An unaffiliated individual claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that he carried out the attack in retaliation for the United States' "recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital" and attacks against members of the Muslim community.
