12/17/2017: An explosive device attached to the vehicle of Sakhi Mohammad Qateh detonated in Mazari Sharif, Balkh, Afghanistan. Qateh, the Maimana-Almar highway commander, was killed and two other people were injured in the blast. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
