01/12/2018: Assailants opened fire on a military checkpoint in Tacul, Davao del Sur, Philippines. There were an unknown number of assailant casualties and an explosive device was defused following the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that the New People’s Army (NPA) carried out the attack.
