01/15/2018: An explosive device detonated targeting a military vehicle in Ishakani, Lamu, Kenya. There were no reported casualties in the blast. This was one of two related incidents in Ishakani within a 24-hour period; assailants had planted the explosive device following an earlier assault on the village. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attacks.
