01/16/2018: Assailants armed with machetes and knives attacked residents and set fire to building in Nkonga, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. At least two people were killed and one person was injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Ansar al-Sunna (Mozambique).
