Incident Summary:

01/29/2018: Five suicide bombers armed with rocket-propelled grenades and automatic rifles attacked Marshal Fahim Military Academy in the 5th police district of Kabul, Afghanistan. Four assailants and 11 soldiers were killed while 16 soldiers were injured in the ensuing clash. The fifth assailant was arrested following the attack. The Khorasan Chapter of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities doubted the veracity of this claim and instead attributed the attack to both the Haqqani Network and the Taliban.
