Incident Summary:

02/04/2018: Assailants raided Inwelane, Menaka, Mali. At least four people were killed and the residence of an Islamic judge was set on fire during the assault. Additionally, three people were abducted; one hostage was later killed, and the fate of the remaining two hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected the involvement of Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) or the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (ISGS) in the attack.
