02/09/2018: Assailants opened fire on Dakula Guillermo Tiambong in Camp Edward, Alegria, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. Tiambong, a tribal leader and farmer, was killed in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the New People's Army (NPA).
