02/11/2018: Assailants attempted to extort civilians in Mabongtot, Ud-udiao, Abra, Philippines. When government troops responded to the report, the assailants opened fire on the patrol. At least one assailant was killed in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People's Army (NPA).
