03/05/2018: An assailant attempted to detonate an explosive device inside a backpack at Pine View High School in St. George, Utah, United States. There were no reported casualties as the device failed to detonate and was later defused. Martin Farnsworth, a student, was arrested and claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that he had been researching the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and intended to contact the group following the attack.
