Incident Summary:

03/26/2018: Assailants kidnapped two El Comercio journalists and their driver in Mataje, Esmeraldas, Ecuador. The hostages were confirmed dead as of April 12, 2018. Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) dissidents claimed responsibility for the incident and demanded that three of their detained members be released in exchange for the hostages.
