04/02/2018: Assailants opened fire on the vehicle of Sheikh Abbas al-Jawhari, a former parliamentary candidate, in Baalbek, Beqaa, Lebanon. Al-Jawhari was not present, but his driver was pulled from the vehicle and threatened at gunpoint during the incident. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Hezbollah.
