04/21/2018: Assailants attacked the Philippine Army’s 7th Infantry Battalion in San Juan, Leyte, Philippines. One soldier, identified as Jose Saycon Jr., was killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People's Army (NPA).
