Incident Summary:

04/23/2018: An explosive device detonated targeting the vehicle of Ghulam Farooq Qate in Sheerank, Faryab, Afghanistan. Qate, a former Jamiat-e-Islami (JI) commander and a National Uprising Movement (NUM) leader, was killed along with three Afghan Local Police (ALP) officers. Three officers were also injured in the blast. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
