Incident Summary:

04/23/2018: Assailants abducted Parwati Korram from her residence in Kohkodi, Chhattisgarh, India. Korram was beaten and strangled to death a short time later. Maoists claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for the death of 39 Maoists in an "encounter" with security forces in Gadchiroli district on April 22, 2018.
