Incident Summary:

04/25/2018: Six assailants abducted three people, including sub-prefect of Hombori, Chief Warrant Officer Zaouder Toure, while they were traveling in a vehicle in Douentza, Mopti, Mali. Two hostages were released later the same day; however, the whereabouts of Toure are unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that the attack was carried out by Muslim extremists.
