Incident Summary:

05/03/2018: An explosive device detonated near Jamal al-Zaghloul in Bassouta, Aleppo, Syria. At least two people, including al-Zaghloul, a former Free East Ghouta Police head, and his wife, were killed in the blast. The People's Protection Units (YPG) claimed responsibility for the attack and accused the victim of "forcing a strict interpretation of Islam" upon local residents.
