Incident Summary:
05/04/2018: An explosive device detonated targeting an electricity pole along Tak Bai-Narathiwat Road in Moo 5, Phraiwan, Tak Bai, Narathiwat, Thailand. There were no reported casualties in the blast. This was one of three coordinated attacks on separate electricity poles in Tak Bai on the same day. Separatists claimed responsibility for the incident and accused the government of "colonizing Pattani."

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
There must be evidence of an intention to coerce, intimidate, or convey some other message to a larger audience (or audiences) than the immediate victims. Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
