05/05/2018: Assailants abducted a doctor in Kabul, Afghanistan. Haqmal was tortured but managed to escape after the assailants fled due to fear of nearby vehicle sounds being approaching police. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
