05/30/2018: Assailants abducted eight construction workers and set fire to construction equipment at a Ram Kripal Singh Construction site near Kharagpur Lake, Kharagpur, Bihar, India. Four hostages were released shortly after the kidnapping, while the other four were rescued after 16 hours. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
