Incident Summary:
06/03/2018: Assailants set up a fake checkpoint and stopped the vehicle of Sunday Olisewokwu along Onitcha-Olona/Ezi Road in Onicha Olona, Aniocha North, Delta, Nigeria. Olisewokwu, a traditional monarch, was abducted and two others, including aides,, were injured in the attack. Olisewokwu was injured in captivity before being released on June 5, 2018. This was one of three related attacks in the area on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Fulani extremists.
