06/08/2018: Assailants attacked a military base in Aziabad, Herat, Afghanistan. At least 17 soldiers and eight assailants were killed and a soldier and 13 assailants were injured. In addition, an unknown number of soldiers were abducted during the attack.; the outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
