06/11/2018: Assailants abducted Shaykh Farhad Agha al-Kaka'i, the brother of an al-Kaka'iyah notable, along with four workers from his farm in Zanqar, Kirkuk, Iraq. The workers were released on June 25, 2018. The fate of al-Kaka'i is unknown. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incident and demanded $500,000 and the release of three imprisoned ISIL leaders in exchange for Shaykh Farhad Agha al-Kaka'i.
