Incident Summary:
06/14/2018: Assailants armed with knives, sticks, and firearms, attacked members of the Justice and Development (AK) party campaigning in Suruc, Sanliurfa, Turkey. At least four people were killed and eight people were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
