Incident Summary:

06/17/2018: Assailants armed with grenades and automatic firearms attacked an Assam Rifles patrol in Aboi, Nagaland, India. At least four jawans were killed and six were injured in the attack. It is unknown if the assailants sustained any casualties. The National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in response to the occupation of Nagaland by Indian forces. The United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) also claimed responsibility for the incident.
