Incident Summary:
06/18/2018: Assailants attacked Lashkar Gah district, Helmand, Afghanistan. This was one of four related incidents in different districts of Helmand on the same day. At least two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed and two other people, including one police officer and once civilian, were injured across the ensuing clashes. In addition, the assailants sustained an unknown number of casualties. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incidents.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
