Incident Summary:
06/23/2018: Assailants attacked Koumaga, near Djenne, Mopti, Mali. The assailants abducted an unknown number of people and killed them shortly thereafter. At least five Fulani civilians were killed in the attack. This was one of two related attacks in this village on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Dogon extremists.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
