06/30/2018: An explosive device detonated targeting a convoy of regional officials, including Lower Shebelle Governor Mohamed Ibrahim Barre and Ceelasha Biyaha Commissioner Ayan Hassan, in Siinka Dheer, Lower Shebelle, Somalia. At least one bodyguard was killed and three people, including bodyguards and officials, were injured in the blast. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident.
