Incident Summary:

08/08/2018: Assailants abducted Narayan Palashi from his residence in Kamalapada, Odisha, India. Palashi, the Papular postmaster, was killed shortly after the kidnapping. The Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that Narayan Palashi was targeted because he was a police informant.
