Incident Summary:

08/12/2018: An explosive device detonated outside the mayor's office in Biratnagar, Province 1, Nepal. There were no reported casualties in the blast. The Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha- Goit (JTMM-G) claimed responsibility and stated that the attack was carried out in order to demonstrate that the group could operate in areas outside of Province 2. Sources also suspected that the incident was carried out by the Communist Party of Nepal - Maoist (CPN-Maoist-Chand).
