Incident Summary:

08/20/2018: Suicide attackers attempted to start a fire with a vehicle containing propane tanks in Grozny, Chechnya, Russia. The tanks failed to ignite and the driver then attempted to run over police officers. Two assailants were killed and two police officers were injured in the attack. This was one of three related incidents that occurred in Chechnya on this date. The Caucasus Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks.
