Incident Summary:

08/30/2018: Assailants abducted Adnan Ahmad Shah from his residence in Thairun Trenz, Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Shah, the nephew of officer Mohammed Syed Shah, was released unharmed on August 31, 2018. Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the abduction was carried out in order to exchange the victim for the release of assailant family members.
