10/27/2018: Assailants set fire to the Salagram Ashram in Kundamankadavu, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. There were no reported casualties, but the building and three vehicles were damaged in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attacks to Hindu extremists and stated that the ashram was targeted after its leader advocated for allowing women to enter the Sabarimala temple.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
