11/23/2018: Assailants attacked a police station in Tazirbu, Kufra, Libya. At least nine people were killed, 10 were injured, and at least 11 were abducted during the raid; the victims included police officers and civilians. The an unknown number of hostages were released January 1, 2019. The Barqa Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident.
